According to Saed News political desk, in another shooting incident at a U.S. university, students at Brown University in the state of Rhode Island were targeted. The attack has so far left two people dead and eight others injured.
According to U.S. media reports, the shooting occurred in the engineering school building during final examinations for the fall semester, at around 4:00 p.m. local time. The university immediately issued an “active shooter” alert, urging all students and staff to shelter in place.
Witnesses described the suspect as a man wearing dark clothing who fled the scene after opening fire. City police said the condition of the injured is critical. U.S. President Donald Trump also described the victims’ condition as very serious.
This is the first mass shooting in the history of Brown University, occurring just ahead of the Christmas holidays, and has once again reignited intense debate over gun control in the United States.

Overall, shootings across U.S. educational institutions have led to more than 900 deaths and 2,000 injuries.
