SAEDNEWS: The commander of the Protection Unit of Zanjan’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department announced the discovery of a historic jar in Zanjan. The ceramic jar was uncovered by local water and sewage department workers during a street excavation.
According to the Saed News Society Desk, the commander of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Protection Unit in Zanjan spoke to reporters today, announcing the discovery of a large clay jar, whose appearance indicates its historical significance. The artifact was uncovered by local water and sewage department workers during street excavation.

The commander added that the discovered clay jar has been transferred by the protection unit to the provincial Cultural Heritage Deputy for dating, cleaning, and preservation efforts.
He noted that the jar was found by a contractor and workers from the municipal water and sewage company and emphasized that no official statements should be considered reliable until verified by cultural heritage experts. Any information released through the Cultural Heritage Department’s public relations office is considered authentic; all other reports are unverified.
The provincial cultural heritage protection commander highlighted the important role of the public in safeguarding historical artifacts, saying, “The people have always been the best guardians of our cultural heritage. It is worth noting that this is the third clay jar discovered in recent days in Zanjan.
