SAEDNEWS: Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem has warned against any new aggression against Iran, stressing that the Lebanese resistance movement will not remain silent in the face of a renewed attack on the Islamic Republic.
According to SAEDNEWS, Sheikh Qassem issued the warning in a speech delivered to the Lebanese people who gathered in Beirut on Monday to express solidarity with Iran and condemn US insults to Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Declaring solidarity and support for Iran and its Leader, the Hezbollah chief said the United States began plotting against the Islamic Republic since its emergence after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and started a war with Iran through Iraq in the 1980s. He added that the US could not tolerate the existence of a free and independent nation.
He further said that the US ultimately failed, despite using all kinds of weapons and spending millions of dollars to overthrow the Iranian government after the establishment of the Islamic Republic and again by launching the 12-day war last year.
"We send our greetings to the Islamic Republic and reaffirm that we are always by its side as Ayatollah Khamenei is also our leader", he said, adding that when Trump threatens Ayatollah Khamenei, he is actually threatening tens of millions of people who follow him.
Sheikh Qassem called for confronting anti-Iran threats with all vigor and might, emphasizing that any attack on the Leader of the Islamic Revolution is tantamount to destabilizing stability and security in the region and the world.
Referring to the recent Iran unrest, the Hezbollah leader said that the enemies, this time, intended to collapse the Islamic Republic from within through economic pressure, and they sent terrorists, and saboteurs among the demonstrators to target security forces, citizens, and public and religious places.
