SAEDNEWS: Female Iranian karatekas Fatemeh-Zahra Saeedabadi and Yalda Naghi-Beiranvand have claimed the gold and bronze medals, respectively at the 13th World Karate Federation (WKF) Junior and Youth World Championship.
According to SAEDNEWS, Iranian karate athletes showcased their talent at the 13th World Karate Federation (WKF) Junior and Youth World Championship in Venice, Italy, capturing a gold and a bronze medal.
On the final day of the competition, Yalda Naghi-Beiranvand, competing in the under-50 kg category, fought for the bronze medal. She delivered an impressive performance, defeating Moroccan karate player Reem Douari with a score of 6-0 to secure third place.
Fatemeh-Zahra Saeedabadi represented Iran in the -55 kg weight category. She battled through the competition, defeating all her opponents to reach the final. In the championship match, she faced Mantal Al-Hawari from Egypt. Saeedabadi fought strategically and gained a two-point lead to ultimately win the gold medal.
The championship took place from October 9 to 13, bringing together young karatekas from around the world to compete at a high level.
