Iran’s Foreign Minister Calls for Urgent Action Against Israel to Protect Region

According to SAEDNEWS, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly urged an immediate end to the Israeli actions in Gaza and Lebanon, highlighting that the escalating tensions in the West Asian region demand urgent attention.

Araghchi made these comments during a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani in Baghdad on Sunday. He pointed out that his recent visits to Beirut and Damascus, as well as talks with officials from neighboring countries, have made it clear that the region is facing a dangerous situation. He stressed that all regional countries need to stop the "crimes and aggression" of the Israeli regime in Gaza and take action to halt military operations against Lebanon.

Addressing the need for stability in the area, Araghchi stated, “Preventing the escalation of the security situation in the West Asian region requires an immediate stop to the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and Lebanon.” He called on the United States and other nations to halt the supply of lethal weapons to Israel.

Prime Minister Al Sudani echoed the sentiment about the necessity of increasing consultations between Iraq and its neighbors to prevent a full-scale conflict. He emphasized the importance of serious action from the international community, reinforcing the commitment of the Iraqi people and government to support the struggles of the Palestinian and Lebanese people against what he described as "the genocide and aggression of the occupying regime."
