SAEDNEWS: The Press Unit of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baku, in a statement, strongly condemned the remarks made by the foreign minister of the Zionist regime during his visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Political Desk of the Saed News Agency, the statement reads: The representative of a regime that was founded through terror, occupation, and the colonial genocide of the Palestinian people—and whose very nature is intertwined with occupation, state terrorism, and apartheid, with a record replete with organized crimes against humanity and genocide, particularly the widespread killing of women and children—lacks any legal or moral legitimacy to speak about human rights or the internal affairs of other countries.
The Iranian Embassy in Baku emphasized that the “hypocritical” remarks made by the foreign minister of the Zionist regime during his visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan constitute a desperate attempt to divert global public opinion from the mounting pressure over the regime’s war crimes.
The statement also expressed regret over the opportunity provided to the representative of this illegitimate and criminal regime in Baku to whitewash its crimes, put forward baseless claims, and engage in absurd accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In concluding the statement, the Press Office of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baku, while underscoring the deep, historical, and inseparable ties between the peoples of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, stressed the need for vigilance against such acts of provocation and the interventionist measures of the Zionist regime, which are carried out with the aim of undermining bilateral relations and creating tension and instability in the region.
Earlier on Monday, the foreign minister of the Zionist regime, during a joint press conference with the foreign minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Baku, while deflecting attention from Israel’s role in terrorist interference in Iran’s internal affairs and without any reference to the extensive crimes of this regime—which in recent years have led to the killing of tens of thousands of oppressed people in Gaza and Palestine—raised claims regarding the outbreak of violence by Tehran in response to armed rioters.
Previously, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in a telephone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, explained the recent events in Iran, noting that they began with peaceful gatherings of the people with economic and professional demands and were driven into violence due to the intervention of terrorist elements. He described as established the direct role of the Zionist regime in arming and organizing armed terrorists, as well as U.S. support for them.
