SAEDNEWS: President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to diplomacy and opposition to war, while utilizing political and diplomatic resources to safeguard its rights.
President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized that the window of diplomacy remains open for the country, and his administration will actively pursue this peaceful approach by utilizing all political resources.
In a message addressed to Iranians living abroad on Monday, Pezeshkian highlighted the solidarity that has developed among the people and officials during the 12-day imposed war, viewing it as an opportunity to serve the nation more effectively.
He added, “We advocate for diplomacy and constructive engagement while opposing war. To keep the shadow of war away from our country and to defend the natural rights of the Iranian nation, we will utilize all available political and diplomatic resources.”
Referring to the 12-day war imposed on the country by the Israeli regime, Pezeshkian said: “Despite the psychological pressures and numerous challenges faced by our nation, we witnessed one of the rarest displays of public participation, consensus, and social cohesion in Iran’s contemporary history. Iranians, both inside and outside the country, including critics and supporters, stood united against the aggressor like a single fist, asserting their will against the enemy.”
“Today, however, a new chapter has begun that fosters hope and aims toward a more secure, stable, and powerful Iran. This path can only be achieved through the companionship and solidarity of our dear people, by preserving national unity, and by relying on the energy of our youth and their innovative ideas,” he added.
The President further noted, “To open new horizons, we must critically reflect on the past. Rebuilding hope and preparing to learn, change, and forge a new path with consensus, empathy, and rationality will lead us to a better future.”
“Our national security is ensured through both military strength and the unity of our citizens. Now is the time to look toward new horizons and, with hope for a brighter future supported by our nation’s immense social capital, take steps to build a more prosperous Iran,” he said.
Pezeshkian emphasized, “We have never sought war; our aim has always been to play an effective role in promoting global sustainable peace. Iran’s adversaries should understand that while our nation is dedicated to peace, it will never yield. Iran, rooted in its historical, cultural, and religious foundations, seeks justice and human dignity for all nations.”
He condemned Israeli aggression against Iran, noting that the country’s armed forces are at their highest level of defense readiness.
He warned enemies that if they consider attacking Iranian soil again, they will face even more crushing responses.
Israel launched the war of aggression against Iran on June 13, killing dozens of military commanders and nuclear scientists in targeted strikes before attacking military, nuclear, and civilian sites across the country.
The Iranian Armed Forces launched powerful retaliatory strikes, targeting key positions across the Israeli-occupied territories and inflicting significant damage.
A ceasefire was announced on June 24.
