SAEDNEWS: The Presidential Chief of Staff in the twelfth administration said Iran’s firm and rational responses to the Zionist regime’s 12-day war and U.S. attacks on Al-Udeid base show the nation’s steadfast stance.

Vaezi: Trump’s Claim About Iran’s Nuclear Industry Is a Delusion — He, Too, Realized That Iran Cannot Be Forced to Retreat Through Threats or the Language of Force

According to the politics desk of Saed News, Mahmoud Vaezi, Chief of Staff of the President in Iran’s Twelfth Administration and Deputy Secretary-General of the Moderation and Development Party, referring to the recent remarks of the Supreme Leader about Trump’s claim on the destruction of Iran’s nuclear industry, stated:

“Whenever knowledge and technology in any field are domestically developed and institutionalized, that industry becomes sustainable, lasting, and impossible to eliminate. Therefore, since nuclear science has taken shape and expanded among Iranian experts, its removal or destruction is impossible.”

Assassinating Scientists Cannot Halt Nuclear Progress

The Deputy Secretary-General of the Moderation and Development Party, in an interview with Fars News Agency, emphasized:

“What the U.S., provoked by the Zionist regime, is pursuing may temporarily delay some of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, but it will never stop or destroy them. The scope and depth of Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities are such that their elimination from the country’s scientific and industrial framework is practically impossible—a point repeatedly acknowledged not only by Iranian officials but also by current and former heads of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

The former Minister of Communications and Information Technology also underscored that:

“This industry was established by Iranian scientists using indigenous technology. Its knowledge does not depend on a few individuals. Therefore, the assassination of several of our dear scientists cannot stop its progress and development.”

Trump’s Claim About Iran’s Nuclear Program Is an Illusion

Vaezi noted:

“Each of these scholars has trained numerous students over the years, and today this knowledge is fully embedded and stabilized within the country. Thus, continuing and advancing this path is feasible—though it may require more time and resources. The U.S. President’s claim about destroying Iran’s nuclear industry is nothing but an illusion and a propaganda show.”

He further explained:

“Trump’s conduct, in other areas as well, reflects more showmanship and self-promotion than serious policymaking. His interventions have not been limited to Iran—similar patterns have emerged worldwide, from trade wars with various countries to tensions even with the U.S.’s closest allies, such as neighboring Canada.”

Vaezi added:

“Since Trump took office, he has made numerous claims regarding countries from Latin America to Europe, all of which indicate direct interference in their internal affairs. While some governments may remain silent for strategic reasons, public opinion does not tolerate such behavior. A clear example was the sharp reaction of the Canadian people when Trump remarked about ‘Canada joining the U.S. as one of its states.’

“Similarly, Trump’s comments about the Panama Canal and the idea of purchasing Greenland reflected rhetoric more rooted in media showmanship and self-aggrandizing bravado than in realistic policy.”

Trump’s Speech in the Knesset—A Display of Propaganda

The former Deputy Foreign Minister stated:

“Trump’s recent speech at the Israeli Knesset and his remarks about Iran were clearly aimed at pleasing his audience and stirring their emotions. Such behavior—both in U.S. foreign and domestic policy—represents a deviation from established norms and diplomatic conduct, provoking dissatisfaction among Americans and political activists alike.”

Vaezi added that Western media have recently reported mass protests across major U.S. cities, held under the slogan “No to the King”, criticizing Trump’s authoritarian and self-centered approach.

“Such unilateral behavior benefits neither U.S. foreign policy nor its internal stability.”

Trump Learned That Iran Does Not Retreat Under Threat

Discussing U.S. foreign policy toward Iran, Vaezi said:

“The experience of negotiations and Iran’s decisive responses to the Zionist regime’s aggression during the 12-day war, as well as to U.S. attacks on the Al-Udeid base, demonstrated that the Iranian nation and government are firm, rational, and resolute. Even Trump himself admitted in several interviews that Iranians are tough, precise, and persistent negotiators who never compromise on their principles and interests.”

He continued:

“Even Trump—who lacks a deep understanding of politics—has realized that Iran cannot be forced into retreat through threats and coercion. Any potential agreement can only be achieved at the negotiation table, through respectful and balanced dialogue.”

Vaezi emphasized:

“The irresponsible and counterproductive political approach of Trump’s administration—issuing orders first and then threatening if they’re not accepted—proved ineffective, particularly during the 12-day war. It is evident that such methods do not and will not work against Iran.”

Iran—A Pillar of Regional Stability

Vaezi highlighted Iran’s key role in ensuring regional balance and stability, stating:

“Iran is a central pillar in the Middle East’s balance of power and acts as a regional force. A stable and peaceful region cannot be achieved while Iran remains under sanctions and political pressure. Any peace or security plan for the region must necessarily involve Iran’s active participation.”

He stressed that:

“If peace in the region is truly a priority, it is essential to resolve the unjust sanctions, including the six non-legal and politically motivated snapback resolutions, as well as U.S. sanctions, to enable a mutually respectful agreement.”

The Path Forward for Iran

Vaezi concluded:

“The most vital factor today is maintaining national unity, relying on domestic capacities, and pursuing smart, dynamic, and dignified diplomacy. Experience has shown that whenever rationality, cooperation, and constructive engagement dominate national policy, the path to progress becomes smoother.”

“The future of Iran and our next generations depends on the harmonious connection between internal strength and prudent foreign policy—a path that protects national interests, overcomes external pressures, and paves the way for sustainable development, social welfare, and national dignity.”
