SAEDNEWS: An old video showing the atmosphere of Nowruz in Iran in 1353 (1974) has been shared on social media and captured people’s attention.
According to SAEDNEWS: in the final days of the year, as Nowruz and the start of the new year approach, people are busy carrying out the traditional customs of Iran. They often plan these rituals months in advance. Although these ceremonies and customs have changed significantly from the past to the present, they still remain an important part of the celebration.
Some of these traditions include cleaning and preparing the house, shopping, planting sprouts, the last Thursday of the year, dancing with Haji Firouz and Uncle Nowruz, preparing samanu, planting sprouts, eating sabzi polo with fish, decorating public places, celebrating Chaharshanbe Suri, and setting the colorful Nowruz table (Haft-Seen).
