Top Iranian Security Official Calls for Changes in Iran’s Diplomatic Conduct

According to Saednews, Iran’s top security official said Saturday evening that the Islamic Republic must reconsider its diplomatic approach toward the international community following several rounds of negotiations and what Tehran describes as broken promises by the United States.

Major General Rezari said Iran’s defense and political strategies have evolved significantly since the “Second Imposed War,” which Iranian officials use to describe the recent U.S. aggression. He said the Iran of today is fundamentally different from the country before the conflict, while attitudes toward the United States have also changed among Iranian youth.

According to Rezari, the perception of Iran in the international community has also shifted. He argued that, following repeated negotiations and what Iran considers a breach of commitments by Washington, changes are necessary in the Islamic Republic’s diplomatic conduct toward the world.

The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) also said the country’s approach to future conflicts will change. He stated that Iran would draw on the lessons and experiences of the past year and that any future war would be different from the “Third Imposed War.” He added that changes would be made in the management and conduct of military operations.

Rezari accused the United States of betraying the negotiating process, diplomacy and its commitments.

Highlighting the importance of national unity, he said the Iranian people’s solidarity in confronting external threats had played a role comparable to that of missile systems in recent victories.

He concluded that changes would be seen not only in Iran’s approach to warfare and diplomacy, but also in socio-political affairs, with new capabilities expected to emerge on the battlefield.
