President Pezeshkian Offers Condolences Over Plane Crash in Russia

President Masoud Pezeshkian has issued a message of condolence over the death of 49 people in a plane crash in Russia.

In his message on Friday, he sympathized with the people of Russia on behalf of the Iranian people and government.

According to Russian media outlets, all 49 people aboard an Antonov An-24 passenger plane were killed when it crashed the Far Eastern Amur region on Thursday.

The Angara Airlines flight was en route to the town of Tynda when it crashed. The wreckage of the plane was found 15 kilometers from the town. Technical investigations are still ongoing.
