This solemn event took place at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, emphasizing the government's commitment to uphold the principles and values that Khomeini espoused.
The formation of President Pezeshkian's cabinet marks a notable milestone in Iranian governance, as it is the first time since 2001 that the parliament has approved a complete slate of ministers. The voting process commenced the previous Wednesday and followed four days of deliberation over the nominees. Among the cabinet members, three ministers from the former administration of President Ebrahim Raeisi were retained, showcasing continuity in certain areas of governance. Notably, intelligence minister Esmail Khatib received a higher number of parliamentary votes compared to his initial nomination three years ago, reflecting increased confidence in his capabilities.
