Pezeshkian, Cabinet Members Renew Allegiance to Imam Khomeini

According to SAEDNEWS, In a significant ceremony on Saturday morning, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his cabinet members renewed their allegiance to the lofty ideals of the late Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. This solemn event took place at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, emphasizing the government's commitment to uphold the principles and values that Khomeini espoused.

The formation of President Pezeshkian's cabinet marks a notable milestone in Iranian governance, as it is the first time since 2001 that the parliament has approved a complete slate of ministers. The voting process commenced the previous Wednesday and followed four days of deliberation over the nominees. Among the cabinet members, three ministers from the former administration of President Ebrahim Raeisi were retained, showcasing continuity in certain areas of governance. Notably, intelligence minister Esmail Khatib received a higher number of parliamentary votes compared to his initial nomination three years ago, reflecting increased confidence in his capabilities.

This newly formed cabinet signifies a fresh chapter for many within the Iranian government, as a majority of the 19 ministers are assuming their ministerial roles for the first time. This injection of new leadership could bring about renewed energy and perspectives in addressing the various challenges facing the nation, while still maintaining a connection to the foundational principles set forth by Imam Khomeini.
