Obama's comment on a photo of a 10-year-old Iranian boy

According to the Society section of Saed News, quoting Young Journalists Club, the father of the boy told Brandon Stanton:

“Today was his 10th birthday. He’s a very sensitive child. Once, when he was 5 years old, we went to the store together and bought apricots. I let him carry the bags. He was walking a bit behind me. When I told him to hand over the apricots, he said, ‘I can’t—I gave them all away to others!’ I knew then that I was raising a compassionate human being.”

This story of the Iranian child also touched Barack Obama, the President of the United States. He left the following comment under the photo:

“What an inspiring story. As a father, one of the greatest joys is gradually seeing the impact of the things you do for your child reflected in their character. This story truly moved me. I hope this child never loses his desire to help others. I’ll do everything I can to help make the world a place where young people like him can live up to their full potential. (And if I ever meet him, I hope he saves some apricots for me.)”

The comment, which was posted from the White House’s official Facebook account, ended with the word "Bo", indicating that Obama himself had written it.

So far, over 480,000 people, including Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, have liked the photo. Obama’s comment alone has received more than 120,000 likes.
