SAEDNEWS: Telegram Founder Offers to Buy Stolen Louvre Jewels and Return Them to Louvre Abu Dhabi
According to the Science and Technology Desk of SaedNews, Telegram founder Paul Durov reacted to the multi-million-euro jewelry theft from the Louvre Museum in Paris with a sarcastic post on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
In his post, Durov wrote: “The theft from the Louvre should not come as a surprise; it is merely a sad sign of the decline of a country that was once powerful and now has a government skilled not in addressing real threats, but in deceiving the public with fabricated ones.”
He further responded to a user jokingly claiming, “I stole the jewels,” saying: “I’d be happy to buy these jewels and return them to the Louvre—though I mean the Louvre Abu Dhabi, since no one ever steals from there.”
