SAEDNEWS: Google's Screen time reminders feature can help users avoid wasting time on various apps.
According to SaedNews, 9TO5Google reports that Google has rolled out the new Screen time reminders feature for the Digital Wellbeing tools on Pixel phones and other Android devices. This feature displays a reminder if users spend too much time on a particular app.
As reported by Zoomit, Google's Screen time reminders aim to help users manage their time better by preventing them from getting too absorbed in a single app. This reminder will appear even if users haven't activated their phone's time limits.
Google's new feature shows a small pop-up message at the top of the screen after a set period. For example, the Screen time reminders feature appears after 25 minutes of activity on Instagram. In some apps, the pop-up message shows up after just 15 minutes. Google has noted that there's no control over how often these pop-up messages appear. However, users can disable the reminder individually for any app.
Disabling pop-up messages for specific apps allows users to watch videos or play games without interruptions. Once the Screen time reminders feature is enabled on an Android device, it will be active for all apps automatically.
Users can tap on the pop-up message to access the option to disable the reminder for the selected app. Besides Pixel phone users, those with other Android devices like OnePlus, Oppo, and Nothing can also benefit from Google's Digital Wellbeing tools.
