SAEDNEWS: Ports Europe claimed that Russia and Iran have asked their neighbors in the Caspian Sea, such as Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, to bar any interference by foreign or extra-regional powers in the region’s affairs.
According to the Politics Desk of Saed News, these two countries, which are under the harshest international sanctions, have expressed concern over NATO and Western influence in the Caspian region, emphasizing that the control of security and resources should remain in the hands of the littoral states.
This call comes amid ongoing disputes among the Caspian littoral countries over maritime borders and the exploitation of the sea’s oil and gas resources.
