SAEDNEWS: Iran’s deputy foreign minister warned Britain and France that continued arms transfers to Israel, along with any support for the country, amounted to deliberate involvement in what he described as crimes committed by the Israeli regime.
According to Saednews, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said that more than 100 former senior British and French diplomats had warned their governments that Israeli policies were moving toward “ethnic cleansing” and the “erasure of Palestine.”
According to Gharibabadi, the former diplomats urged London and Paris to halt arms transfers, prohibit trade with Israeli settlements, and comply with rulings issued by international courts in The Hague.
“London and Paris cannot hide behind the word ‘concern’ in this situation,” Gharibabadi said. He argued that continuing to provide weapons or other forms of support to Israel amounted to a deliberate decision to cooperate in what he described as crimes committed by the Israeli regime.
