How to Make Banana Walnut Cake:

Step 1:

To make the banana walnut cake, start by mashing the bananas thoroughly in a bowl using a fork. Then add the sugar and mix well. Next, add the butter (which should be at room temperature) and stir until everything is fully combined.

Step 2:

In another bowl, beat the eggs with an electric mixer or a hand whisk for 3-4 minutes until they become fluffy, lose their stiffness, and turn a creamy color. Then add the egg mixture to the banana mixture and stir well.

Tip: The more you beat the eggs, the fluffier the cake will be, resulting in better quality.

Step 3:

Next, add the vanilla and cinnamon to the mixture and stir well to release their aromas. Ensure they are fully incorporated into the mixture, leaving a smooth and uniform texture.

Step 4:

Sift the flour in a separate bowl to lighten its texture. Then, add the baking powder to the flour and sift again to ensure they are well combined and the flour has an even texture.

Step 5:

Now, gradually add the flour mixture to the batter in several stages, stirring gently with a hand whisk in one direction. This will prevent the flour from clumping and ensure the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Step 6:

Chop the walnuts to your liking and add them to the mixture. Then, add the desired amount of chocolate chips and stir until they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Step 7:

Grease the bottom of the baking tray or non-stick pan with some vegetable oil or butter, or line it with parchment paper. Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.

Step 8:

Tap the cake pan a few times to remove any air bubbles. Then, place the pan in the preheated oven (preheat for 10 minutes) and set the oven temperature to 180°C (350°F).

Step 9:

Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Do not open the oven door during the first 20 to 30 minutes to prevent the cake from deflating. After that, check if the cake is fully baked.

Step 10:

Open the oven and insert a wooden skewer or toothpick into the cake. If it comes out clean without any batter sticking to it, the cake is ready. Then, remove the cake from the oven.

Step 11:

Let the cake cool in the pan at room temperature. Once cooled, remove it from the pan and place it on a suitable dish. Slice it into the desired shape and size. Finally, decorate the banana walnut cake with chocolate spread, crumbled walnuts, and banana slices. Serve with tea.
