How to Make Orange Cake

Step 1:
To make the orange cake, first, choose a suitable bowl. Then, add the eggs along with the sugar and vanilla. Next, use an electric mixer on high speed for 7 minutes, until the mixture becomes creamy and fluffy.

Step 2:
Now, wash the orange and grate its peel finely. Add the grated peel along with the vegetable oil to the egg mixture and stir gently. Then, add the orange juice.

Step 3:
In this step, mix the egg mixture for 1 minute until the ingredients are well combined. Now, mix the flour and baking powder together, then sift the mixture twice and place it back in the sifter.

Step 4:
Now, gradually add the sifted flour mixture to the batter in three parts. Use a spatula to gently fold the ingredients together in a circular motion. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Step 5:
At this stage, allow the oven to fully preheat. Now, select a suitable cake pan and grease the bottom of the pan with cold butter, then sprinkle some flour over it. Next, pour the cake batter into the pan.

Step 6:
In this step, tap the pan a few times on the counter to remove any air bubbles from the batter. Then, place the pan in the middle rack of the oven and allow the cake to bake for 40 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Step 7:
After 40 minutes, test the cake with a toothpick or wooden skewer. If it comes out clean, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely. Then, transfer the cake to your serving dish.

Step 8:
Finally, sift some powdered sugar over the cake as decoration. Slice an orange into thin rings and place them on top of the cake. Then, cut the cake into desired portions and serve.
