SAEDNEWS: A massive protest rocked Tel Aviv as a great number of Israelis gathered to demand an end to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.
A massive protest has erupted in Tel Aviv as tens of thousands of Israeli settlers demanded an end to the Gaza war, which was met with a police crackdown on protesters.
On Saturday night, more than 60,000 Israelis flooded the streets of Tel Aviv, blocking the key Ayalon Highway in a powerful demonstration against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to continue military operations in Gaza.
Protesters ignited fires that escalated into physical clashes with police forces, highlighting the intensity of public frustration.
The demonstrations were sparked by renewed obstruction of ceasefire talks and prisoner exchange negotiations. Marchers called loudly for an immediate halt to the conflict and the safe return of captives held in Gaza.
Israeli police mounted units to disperse crowds and prevent further blockades on major city streets. Despite these efforts, the massive turnout underscored deep divisions within the regime’s society over the ongoing war.
Reports says tensions were intensified when armed right-wing protesters threatened anti-regime demonstrators during the unrest.
Meanwhile, a group of young protesters, including teenagers, stormed the live broadcast of Channel 13’s popular reality show “Big Brother.” Wearing shirts with the slogan “We must leave Gaza,” they interrupted the program to demand an immediate end to the conflict.
These events reveal growing public discontent and the urgent desire among many Israeli settlers for a ceasefire. With mounting pressure on the cabinet, calls for a ceasefire and prisoner swap continue to dominate the conversation, as ordinary settlers seek an end to the bloodshed.
