SAEDNEWS: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar lauded Iran’s principled approach to its nuclear program, stressing the importance of diplomacy in resolving the issue peacefully.

The Pakistani minister made the comments in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi, held on the sidelines of an extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah.

During the talks, the two sides reviewed the latest regional and international developments, with a focus on the crisis in Gaza and the relentless crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the defenseless Palestinian people.

They underlined the urgent need for collective and coordinated action by the Islamic countries to halt the aggression, lift the blockade, accelerate the delivery of humanitarian aids, and confront the occupation schemes of the Zionist regime.

Araqchi briefed his Pakistani counterpart on the latest developments related to Iran’s nuclear program, emphasizing the Islamic Republic’s transparent, peaceful, and responsible approach.

In response, Ishaq Dar commended Iran’s principled nuclear policies and reiterated the role of diplomacy in resolving the matter through peaceful means.

The two ministers further pointed to the deep historical, religious, and cultural bonds between Tehran and Islamabad, reaffirming the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, border development, economy, and regional security.
