The Aras Morad juniper tree, known as the oldest juniper tree in Iran, is located in Keshkouieh village, Jiroft County, Kerman Province. Aras Morad is not only a symbol of resilience and the natural history of southern Kerman Province, but also holds special importance as one of the oldest living organisms in Iran and is a significant part of the country’s natural heritage protection.
It is worth noting that the Sarv-e Abarkuh, with an estimated age of 5,500 years, is considered the oldest tree in Iran and Asia.
