SAEDNEWS: Iran Urges U.S. Students to Reject Israeli Recruitment for War Against Iran

Iran Warns US Citizens Over Debt-Related Recruitment Claims

According to Saednews, Americans should ask themselves one question: Why should their sons and daughters be offered debt forgiveness in exchange for fighting and dying in a war that Israel wants to see continued and expanded?

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei made the remarks on X in response to an opinion article published by an Israeli media outlet that suggested using Americans burdened by student loans and credit-card debt as a potential pool for military recruitment to support the ongoing war with Iran.

Baghaei said the proposal was being openly discussed in an opinion column in The Jerusalem Post, describing it as an idea to use student-loan and credit-card debt as an incentive to recruit Americans to fight in a war with Iran.

“Your lives. Your taxes. Someone else’s war,” Baghaei wrote.

He urged Americans not to allow themselves to become “cannon fodder” or be left responsible for paying the financial cost of a war they never chose.

Baghaei concluded by warning Americans not to allow anyone to turn their children into “mercenaries” for what he described as an illegal “war of choice.”
