SAENDEWS: In a statement stressing that such attacks, driven by the enemy’s desperation, will only further tighten the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its forces have launched a response that will make the aggressors regret their actions.
According to Saednews, The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Tuesday night that continued resistance by the Iranian people and IRGC forces had frustrated the United States, particularly around the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a statement from the IRGC’s Public Relations Department, the U.S. military carried out a series of attacks along Iran’s southern coastline, targeting several locations, including sites described as civilian facilities.
The IRGC said the strikes had increased tensions around the Strait of Hormuz and strengthened the determination of its forces to confront foreign military activity in the region.
The statement said IRGC forces had responded to the attacks and claimed that an advanced air-defense system had shot down a 50th MQ-9 drone operated by the U.S. military.
The IRGC said further details about the outcome of its military operations would be released later.
