SAEDNEWS: Turkey has reportedly begun new measures, in cooperation with regional parties, aimed at ending PKK activity in Iraq, while efforts to facilitate disarmament and reintegration continue in Turkey.

According to SaedNews: Al Mayadeen, citing its correspondent in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, reported that Ankara, in coordination with several regional parties, has launched a series of new measures aimed at ending the activities of the PKK.

According to the report, Turkey has stepped up intelligence efforts to identify and block the group’s support channels, with particular attention to cutting off European financial assistance to the PKK.

Meanwhile, the PKK disarmament process in Turkey has entered a new phase in recent days. Parliament has approved a bill containing judicial measures designed to facilitate the disarmament of PKK members and their return to society.

Under the legislation, members who have not committed terrorist acts will be able to hand over their weapons and return to civilian life.
