SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, spoke by phone to discuss the latest developments in the region and issues related to border security.
According to Saednews, During the phone conversation, Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s firm commitment to Iraq’s security, stability, and territorial integrity.
He stressed the importance of remaining alert to terrorist activities, including the recent attack targeting the office of the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). He also cautioned against any schemes intended to undermine the longstanding friendly and fraternal ties between Iran and Iraq.
The two foreign ministers further emphasized the need to preserve peace and stability along their common borders. They called for closer bilateral cooperation and coordination to prevent security incidents and protect border stability.
