SAEDNEWS: Seyed Ahmad Khatami stressed that major national decisions and agreements are taken under the supervision of Iran’s Leader. He also praised diplomatic and military forces and called for urgent action to address economic pressures and rising prices.
According to the political service of Saed News, Seyed Ahmad Khatami, a member of the Presidium of the Assembly of Experts, spoke at a public gathering in Khorramabad, where he addressed various aspects of major national decision-making, the country’s economic situation, and what he described as enemy conspiracies. His remarks included clear messages regarding diplomacy, national security, and livelihood concerns.
One of the key themes of Khatami’s remarks was clarifying how major decisions are made in the country. He emphasized that no decisive action in the Islamic Republic is taken without the knowledge and management of the Supreme Leader.
He stated:
“Any agreement approved by the Supreme Leader is respected and accepted by us, and if it is not approved, the path remains the one outlined by the Imam and the Leader of the Revolution.”
Khatami described national achievements as the result of collective effort at the national level. He used the term “fighters in the field of diplomacy” to praise the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while also stressing that the role of the armed forces—including the army, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, police, Basij, and various segments of society—should not be overlooked, as they have consistently ensured the country’s security.
He also addressed economic hardship, particularly rising prices, stating that people are suffering from inflation and that this situation is not worthy of the Iranian nation. He stressed that officials are obliged to work around the clock to address these problems.
However, he also noted that despite heavy sanctions, ongoing efforts have prevented major crises and situations such as wartime-style famines.
Khatami concluded by referring to what he called unrealistic expectations by Iran’s enemies, including claims of the rapid collapse of the Islamic Republic or returning Iran to a “stone age.” He described the country’s path as one of strength and unity.
He also reaffirmed Iran’s strong support for the “Axis of Resistance,” particularly Hezbollah in Lebanon, describing it as an inseparable part of the broader resistance movement.
