Trump Scrambles to Profit from the Strait of Hormuz: ‘Include Me Too!

According to the political news service of Saed News and Fars, Donald Trump responded to the acceptance of a ceasefire agreement with Iran in a message posted on the social media platform Social Truth. He described the event as a “great day for global peace” and wrote regarding his intention to “patrol” the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz: “The United States will assist in managing shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. Many positive actions lie ahead.”

The U.S. president, who had previously threatened to target Iran’s bridges and power plants, now took a stance supporting Iran’s reconstruction through revenues generated from the Strait of Hormuz, adding: “Huge sums of money will be created. Iran can begin the reconstruction process. We will load massive shipments of various equipment and supplies and simply ‘patrol’ in a way that ensures everything proceeds smoothly. I am confident in this success. Just like what we are experiencing in the U.S., this could be a golden era for the Middle East.”

Earlier today (Wednesday), Trump acknowledged Iran’s 10-article plan, stating: “Almost all past points of disagreement between the U.S. and Iran have been resolved, but a two-week period allows for the finalization and completion of the agreement. On behalf of the United States, as president, and also representing Middle Eastern nations, it is an honor that this long-standing issue is on the verge of resolution.”

The Islamic Republic of Iran has explicitly warned that in the event of an attack on its power plants, it will not only fully close the Strait of Hormuz but also consider the power plants of all countries hosting U.S. bases in the region as legitimate targets, in addition to striking the facilities of the Israeli regime.
