SAEDNEWS: The World Tourism Organization listed Iran among top 20 global tourism destinations.
Iran’s tourism policy and industry resilience have earned the country a spot among the world’s top 20 destinations, Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Anoushiravan Mohseni-Bandpei announced Wednesday.
Citing UN Tourism analyses, Mohseni-Bandpei highlighted that even before the recent 12-day conflict with Israel, Iran achieved the best regional performance in attracting international tourists, becoming a model of stability, attraction, and destination diversity.
He emphasized that this ranking reflects smart policymaking, private-sector collaboration, and strategic infrastructure development, as well as the effective global portrayal of Iran’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
Mohseni-Bandpei expressed optimism that, by overcoming recent challenges, Iran’s tourism sector can restore and even enhance its global standing, leveraging platforms like the official “Visit Iran” website to boost public diplomacy.
