During the cold seasons, school-age children are the most affected, getting sick more often, and parents, especially mothers, prepare various soups, stews, turnips, and other remedies to treat their children's colds, which children may avoid eating.

If you're one of these mothers, during your child's cold, try preparing citrus gummies for them. These gummies not only help treat colds but also strengthen the immune system and are useful for preventing colds. In this section, we will teach you how to make cold remedy gummies.

Ingredients for Citrus Gummies:

  • Citrus juice: 2 cups

  • Fresh ginger: 1 piece

  • Honey: 2 tablespoons

  • Gelatin powder: 1 tablespoon

How to Make Cold Remedy Gummies:

  1. Squeeze the juice from citrus fruits such as tangerines, oranges, lemons, or grapefruit.

  2. Peel and finely grate a fresh ginger root.

  3. Add the grated ginger to the citrus juice and mix well.

  4. Add honey to the citrus and ginger mixture.

  5. In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder with lukewarm water.

  6. Stir the gelatin and water until the particles dissolve.

  7. Once the gelatin dissolves, steam the mixture over a double boiler and then add it to the citrus juice.

  8. Pour the mixture into greased silicone molds or, if you don't have molds, pour it into a rectangular dish and place it in the refrigerator.

  9. Once the mixture has set and solidified in the fridge, remove it from the molds, cut it into pieces, and enjoy.

Important Tip:

These gummies are also recommended for individuals with joint pain.

You can store these gummies in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Citrus fruits, due to their vitamin C and vitamin B9 content, can help strengthen the immune system and protect against coughs and infections caused by colds. These nutrients increase the body's resistance and accelerate recovery from a cold.
