Recipe for Mocha Cake with Delicious Sauce in Café-Style

Mocha cake is a type of chocolate and coffee cake that is very popular, especially among those who love the taste of coffee and chocolate.

This delicious cake, which is easy to prepare, is perfect for serving at parties and makes a great afternoon snack with tea or coffee. In this article, we will provide you with the recipe for mocha cake along with instructions for the special mocha sauce to top the cake. Additionally, we will share some important tips for baking cakes at home.

Ingredients for Mocha Cake with Mocha Sauce:

For the Cake:

  • 2 cups of pastry flour

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • ⅔ cup of milk

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon of instant coffee powder

  • 1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules

  • ⅔ cup of vegetable oil

For the Mocha Sauce:

  • 1 cup of milk

  • ½ cup of sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon of instant coffee powder

  • 1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules

  • 1 tablespoon of flour

  • 50 grams of heavy cream

Instructions for Mocha Cake with Mocha Sauce:

  1. Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). In a saucepan, add the milk along with the instant coffee powder and instant coffee granules.

  2. Step 2: Place the saucepan on low heat and stir well until the ingredients dissolve into the milk and it warms up. Then remove the saucepan from the heat.

  3. Step 3: In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar. Use an electric mixer on high speed to beat the mixture until it becomes fluffy and thick. Then add the vegetable oil and continue mixing on medium speed for about 30 seconds.

  4. Step 4: Add the warm milk mixture to the bowl and mix well. Sift the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder three times. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the bowl.

  5. Step 5: Fold the mixture gently using a spatula. Then grease your cake pan. Place the pan in the middle of the oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the cake is fully cooked.

  6. Step 6: While the cake is baking, prepare the mocha sauce. In a saucepan, combine the milk, sugar, cocoa powder, instant coffee powder, instant coffee granules, and flour. Stir well until the ingredients dissolve in the milk.

  7. Step 7: Place the saucepan on low heat and stir continuously until the sauce thickens to a consistency similar to pudding. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the cream, stirring until smooth.

  8. Step 8: Cover the mocha sauce with plastic wrap to cool completely. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool before removing it from the pan. Finally, pour the cooled mocha sauce evenly over the cake and serve. Enjoy!
