Ghormeh Sabzi: The Only Iranian Dish That Went to Space—Thanks to Yasmin Moghbeli!

According to the Science Desk of Saed News, Moqbeli is a U.S. Navy test pilot and a NASA astronaut. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the U.S. Navy Postgraduate School, and the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School. Moqbeli has accumulated over 2,000 flight hours across 25 different aircraft types and has completed 150 missions, including multiple combat sorties in Afghanistan.

He earned his master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the U.S. Navy Postgraduate School in California. He also trained at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Maryland and served as a helicopter test pilot with VMX-1 at the Navy’s Yuma Air Station in Maryland.
