SaedNews: The U.S. Secretary of State said, "One of the cardinals I met with in Rome, the day before the Pope’s Holy Communion ceremony, told me, ‘You know, it is very strange for us. We have an American president who desires peace, but some Europeans constantly talk about war actions.’"
According to SaedNews, citing ISNA, Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, referring to the Ukraine war, said that during his trip to Rome, he heard assessments that Europe desires war, while the United States, according to him, is seeking peace.
Rubio said, "One of the cardinals I met with in Rome, the day before the Pope’s Holy Communion ceremony, told me, ‘You know, it is very strange for us. We have an American president who desires peace, but some Europeans constantly talk about war actions.’"
Rubio, at a Kennedy Center board dinner at the White House hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump, said, "So, from their perspective, the world seems upside down."
Rubio added, "Trump wants to eliminate the need for massive defense spending; that money can instead be invested in economic development."
