Saed News: Speaking about Qatar’s role in the nuclear negotiations, Trump said: Iran is lucky to have an Emir in Qatar who is trying to prevent an attack on Iran. Iran should seriously thank the Emir of Qatar, because there are others who seek to deal a heavy blow to Iran — unlike Qatar.
According to Saed News, quoting Iran Watch, Donald Trump, who is on a Middle East trip, said in a meeting with Qatari leaders and American businessmen: “We want to succeed in negotiations with Iran, and I believe we are close to reaching an agreement. We want Iran to be a great country, but it cannot have nuclear weapons.”
According to Iran Watch, the U.S. President added: “We believe in peace through strength, and we want to succeed in negotiations with Iran. The United States will protect the Middle East. We are building the most powerful weapons systems in the world.”
Trump also called al-Joulani, the president of the Syrian government, a strong individual and said: “You will see what happens after the sanctions are lifted.”
In a surprising remark, he said: “I didn’t know Syria had been under sanctions for so long.”
The U.S. President also stated that he holds great respect for Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
Trump described the Emir of Qatar as an exceptional man and a great leader, saying: “We have leadership talent in this region. Our relationship with Qatar is based on equality, and no one can undermine this relationship. We will protect you.”
