Iran declares military gains after 12-day war: “Missile power among world’s top 10”

According to Saed News, Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik said on Saturday during a ceremony commemorating the martyrs of government and service in Sanandaj:
“In the 12-day war, damages were inflicted on some of our military sectors, but I firmly declare that today the operational, combat, and defensive readiness of Iran’s armed forces has significantly increased as a result of the experiences gained from this war.”

He added that the Ministry of Defense seeks to involve the people in the defense of the country, noting that 60% of the weapons, equipment, and ammunition of the armed forces are produced by the private sector and knowledge-based companies.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense further stated: “Today Iran is among the world’s top 10 countries in missile power, which reflects our independence from foreign reliance in weaponry.”

General Talaei-Nik identified the leadership’s insight, the armed forces’ sacrifices, the government’s efforts, and the unity and awareness of the people as the key factors behind Iran’s victory in the 12-day war.

He emphasized that based on documented assessments, 60% of people in various countries regard Iran as the victor, while contrary to enemy narratives, Iran’s own people see Israel as the defeated side in this war.

He added that defense and security today have a unique dimension, combining both hard and soft aspects. The Ministry of Defense, he said, supported the armed forces daily during the conflict, and by the second week, the enemy’s stability was crumbling rapidly, with several intermediaries requesting a ceasefire.

Talaei-Nik continued: “The enemy’s goal in attacking Iran was to weaken our nation, force surrender, and ultimately overthrow the system. None of these objectives were achieved, and once again they miscalculated.”

He recalled that since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, Iran has faced and overcome more than 100 internal and external conspiracies, all of which ended in the enemy’s failure.

According to him, intelligence indicates that 50,000 non-governmental individuals in the occupied territories have filed claims for compensation due to losses from the 12-day war. He also stressed that the war increased global hatred towards Israel.

General Talaei-Nik praised the unity of Kurdistan, describing its religious and social cohesion as a model for the Islamic world, rooted in faith, insight, and revolutionary spirit.

He also referred to the Leader’s emphasis on supporting the government, saying: “We are all proud to have a president with a jihadi and people-oriented approach.”

The defense spokesperson added: “One of the main features of the Islamic system is serving the people and striving for the country’s progress with the aim of earning divine satisfaction.”

Concluding his remarks, he honored the martyrs of service, including the late President Raisi, whom he described as a compassionate, revolutionary, and devoted servant of the people.
