SAEDNEWS: The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has firmly denied reports of an explosion near Baghdad Airport, confirming that the capital remains secure. Officials urged citizens to avoid spreading unverified news and rely solely on official sources.
According to Saed News, The Iraqi Ministry of Interior issued a statement strongly denying rumors circulated on some media outlets and social networks about an explosion on the road to Baghdad Airport.
citing the Ministry’s official website, the ministry declared that the security situation in the capital is safe and calm.
The statement emphasized that Baghdad has not witnessed any security incidents and that these reports are baseless, published only to create public concern.
At the end of the statement, the Ministry urged everyone to refrain from accepting or spreading such rumors and to rely on official statements from relevant authorities as the sole source of security information.
Earlier, some media and social networks had claimed an attack on a vehicle on the road leading to Baghdad Airport. These claims included allegations by some Saudi news channels of a drone attack by Israel and the killing of two Iranian citizens near the airport.
According to KhabarOnline, Tasnim also reported last night, citing informed sources, that the alleged terrorist action against one or more Iranian officers in Baghdad is false, and that no such incident has recently occurred in the city.
