According to Saed News, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that IAEA inspectors entered Iran under the decision of the Supreme National Security Council specifically to oversee the fuel replacement at the Bushehr nuclear power plant.

He emphasized that all actions are in accordance with the legal framework set by the Iranian parliament to ensure national interests are safeguarded. Araghchi clarified that no final text regarding a new Iran-IAEA cooperation agreement has been approved, and that current cooperation is limited to monitoring the fuel replacement under the legal mandate of the Supreme National Security Council.

Araghchi also noted that his discussions with the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission covered topics including the Armenia-Azerbaijan corridor, nuclear negotiations with European countries, ongoing talks with the IAEA, and the snapback mechanism and its potential extension.
