SAEDNEWS: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Iran’s new ambassador to Croatia and the new consuls general to the United Arab Emirates’ Dubai and Afghanistan’s Jalalabad.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held meetings with the newly appointed Iranian ambassador to Croatia Amir-Hossein Gharibnejad, new consul general to the UAE’s Dubai Alireza Mahmoudi, and the new consul general to Afghanistan’s Jalalabad, Majid Rezapanah.
During his meeting with Gharibnejad, who previously served as a cultural advisor and deputy for public diplomacy at the Foreign Ministry, the ambassador presented his proposals for strengthening ties between Tehran and Zagreb. Araghchi emphasized the importance of enhancing relations in the Balkans, particularly with Croatia, focusing on economic and cultural exchanges.

Similarly, Mahmoudi outlined his plans to advance his responsibilities in Dubai. Araghchi highlighted the necessity of reinforcing collaboration between Iran and the UAE, particularly in economic, commercial, cultural, and consular areas, while also addressing the needs of the Iranian community in the region.
