Lake Discovered in West Azerbaijan Said to Hide Prophet Solomon’s Ring

According to Saed News’ social affairs service, citing Parsineh, a mysterious and deadly lake—said to hide the ring of Prophet Solomon (PBUH)—lies 45 kilometers northeast of Takab in Iran’s West Azerbaijan province.

This ancient, bubbling lake, rich in mineral salts, reaches depths of up to 120 meters in some areas. Over the centuries, countless stories have surrounded it, the most famous being the legends of hidden treasures scattered across its depths. Priceless riches, thrown into the lake throughout history, remain lost and concealed.

The most controversial treasure rumored to lie at the lake’s bottom is the ring of Prophet Solomon (PBUH).

Folk beliefs hold that the entire Takht-e Soleyman complex was built by supernatural forces under Solomon’s command. According to these traditions, Solomon possessed a ring that granted him extraordinary power.

Legends recount that during his reign, demons who cunningly stole his famed ring were cast into a mountain as punishment. Centuries have passed, yet locals say that, at night, occasional wails still echo from the mountains. Villagers avoid the so-called “Solomon’s Prison Mountain” after dark.

The lake was first explored by German divers. Their observations, later published, revealed a pit at the lake’s center measuring 112 meters deep. Ten water channels surround the lake, but due to heavy sediment and limited visibility, they failed to uncover any notable artifacts underwater.
