SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Ministry of Defense, in a statement marking Defense Industry Day, praised four decades of self-sufficiency and deterrence despite sanctions, emphasizing domestic achievements in missile, space, and military technology while warning adversaries against miscalculation.
Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics issued a statement on the occasion of Defense Industry Day.
According to the Ministry’s Public Relations Department, the statement reads:
“With the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the collapse of the dependent Pahlavi regime, and the end of American military advisors’ domination over the armed forces, a new chapter of self-sufficiency, dynamism, and advancement in defense achievements began. By cutting off the influence of the hegemonic system over the nation’s resources, and despite four decades of comprehensive and unjust sanctions, the country’s defense industry—backed by faithful and committed experts—has become one of the key symbols of growth and progress, achieving remarkable and commendable advancements.
The achievements of the nation’s sons in the fields of missiles, weaponry, space, and the design and production of various military systems tailored to national defense needs and in line with global standards, elevated the country from deep dependence on foreigners to the heights of self-sufficiency and power. Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has become a hub of defensive strength and deterrence in the region.
The noble Iranian nation, under unity and awareness, directly witnessed the results of this power during the recent twelve-day imposed war, affirming the necessity of producing deterrent defense systems. Various international media also repeatedly highlighted Iran’s astonishing missile capabilities, while the enemies of the Islamic Republic realized that any miscalculation or adventurism in the region would be met with a strong and decisive response from Iran’s powerful armed forces.
The Ministry of Defense, while congratulating this auspicious day to the large family of Iran’s defense industry and honoring the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense—especially the martyrs of the recent twelve-day war—declares that with reliance on the experiences and sacrifices of the past 46 years, and in line with the guidance of the Commander-in-Chief (may his shadow be prolonged), it will continue producing and preparing advanced weapons and military equipment to counter enemy threats and strengthen active defense diplomacy.
With reliance on domestic capabilities, once again, the Ministry renews its allegiance to the Supreme Leader and Commander-in-Chief Ayatollah Khamenei, affirming its full commitment to the lofty ideals of the Islamic Revolution. The loyal and devoted personnel of this Ministry will spare no effort in generating and regenerating power, arming and equipping the armed forces, and strengthening the defensive foundations of the country.”
