Earlier that morning, upon his arrival at Beirut International Airport, the top security official told reporters that Iran would stand by the “dear people of Lebanon” under all circumstances. He also announced that during his visit to Beirut, he would hold meetings with the president, the parliament speaker, the prime minister, and several prominent political experts in the country.
