Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson on Ali Larijani’s Visits to Iraq and Lebanon.
According to Saed News citing Fars News Agency, the spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Ali Larijani’s visit to Iraq is part of ongoing consultations and dialogues Iran holds with neighboring countries. The policy of good neighborliness and deepening cooperation with neighboring states is a fundamental principle pursued at various levels.
He added that one of the key objectives of this visit is to finalize a security understanding between the two countries. The text of this agreement had previously been finalized, and its minutes signed; during this trip, the document is expected to be formally signed by the officials of both countries. Discussions will also cover regional developments with the aim of reviewing issues that may affect the security of both nations.
The spokesperson further mentioned Larijani’s upcoming visit to Lebanon, where he is scheduled to meet with relevant Lebanese officials for consultations regarding developments in West Asia.
