Saednews: Mehdi Jahantighi wrote on Telegram that Trump, who tries to unsettle the Iranian public with his tweets and statements, has now lost his composure after Ayatollah Khamenei’s calm, decisive, and victorious messages—especially after the third short video—fearing the powerful image of America’s defeat portrayed by Iran’s leader.
According to Saednews, Ayatollah Khamenei in his first video message focused on the aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran. However, in his second video message, the Leader quoted the President of the United States and, in a way, directly responded to him on behalf of himself and the Iranian nation, saying:
“Threaten only those who fear your threat.”
With this statement, Ayatollah Khamenei effectively nullified all of Trump’s previous actions, threats, and psychological operations that had been initiated to intimidate the Iranian nation. A new round of large-scale psychological operations began with Iran taking the initiative. This initiative was accompanied by more devastating Iranian attacks on the regime and the active presence of the people on the ground, effectively invalidating Trump’s threats and intimidation. Moreover, in his second video message, Ayatollah Khamenei reacted decisively to the possibility of U.S. military involvement in the war, and this time it was he who launched a psychological offensive against Trump.
However, the third video message of the Leader of Iran delivered even more serious blows to the psyche of the U.S. President. In that message, Ayatollah Khamenei spoke about the crushing of the Zionist regime and then congratulated the Iranian nation on victory over the American regime. He also raised a key point that Trump had been struggling with domestically in the U.S. for hours: the Leader completed and even accelerated doubts about the success of operations against nuclear facilities and U.S. participation in the war, emphasizing that the U.S. had gained no achievements from the war. Trump, who had already been unsettled by the questioning of his performance, felt even greater psychological defeat and frustration in response to Ayatollah Khamenei’s statements.
Another undeniable fact is that Trump becomes deeply angry because Ayatollah Khamenei speaks in such a way and with such effect that it seems as if the Iranian nation itself is speaking. Meanwhile, Trump had made two attempts to somewhat praise Iran’s courage and missile power but saw no recognition—even implicitly—in the Leader’s words of the impact of the military operations or U.S. actions, which particularly unsettled him. Despite all that has been said, the greater reality is that Ayatollah Khamenei’s words go beyond typical psychological warfare discourse, as he speaks with mastery of religious sources, divine traditions, and the teachings of Nahj al-Balagha, leaving no room for worldly calculations to diminish his influence.
Trump sees no separation between the Iranian nation and Ayatollah Khamenei and perceives the Leader’s brave statements and positions as the true voice and sentiment of the Iranian people. Since he finds no sign of surrender or concession in these statements, he feels a sense of failure and futility after 12 days of war. The U.S. President believes that the way to reach and subdue the Iranian people is by confronting and, as he assumes, defeating Ayatollah Khamenei, and this is the perspective from which his focus and direct attacks or nonsensical rhetoric against the Leader must be understood.
