SAEDNEWS: Venezuela has granted national journalism award titled Simon Bolivar Prize to Iranian news anchor Sahar Emami, who showed exemplary courage during an Israeli attack on Iranian news sudio.
According to Saednews, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro awarded the prestigious Simon Bolivar Prize to Emami and the victims of an Israeli strike on the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN), part of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) corporation.
The award recognizes Emami’s courage and honors the media personnel who died in the Israeli attack on the the news studio building.
The award was formally received by Iran’s ambassador to Venezuela, Ali Chegini, on behalf of Emami and the families of the deceased.
President Maduro lauded Emami and the martyred media for their courage bravery during Israeli strike on Iran.
Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has earlier hailed Emami, who was on air when an Israeli strike hit the building of the national television, but she shortly came back live and resumed the broadcast.
