SAEDNEWS: The Rai al-Youm newspaper addressed the possibility of a confrontation between the Zionist regime and Turkey and analyzed it.
According to Saed News, Rai al-Youm posed the following questions: Is Erdoğan a threat to Israel? Is a war between Turkey and Tel Aviv inevitable? And why is Washington afraid of delivering F-35s to Ankara? It wrote that once again, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, has come under fierce attack by Israel and its malicious intentions, which now target his country after Iran.
According to the report, Amichai Chikli, the Minister of Diaspora Affairs of the Zionist regime, launched a sharp attack on Erdoğan and criticized his role in the region.
He told Channel 14 of Israeli television:
“Turkey is the next Iran, and Erdoğan is the biggest problem Israel is facing.”
The Zionist minister accused Erdoğan of spreading Ikhwani (Muslim Brotherhood) ideology, calling it extremely dangerous.
Rai al-Youm added: Erdoğan’s opponents believe he is among former U.S. President Donald Trump's circle of friends; thus, Turkey will remain an ally of the United States, and after all, it is a NATO member. So why is Israel afraid of the Turkish military? Is it because of Erdoğan’s Islamist leanings and anti-Zionist positions?
The outlet continued: The Turkish President does not want to rely solely on Russian and American weapons. He has said that the S-400 system alone is not enough to meet his country’s air defense needs. It appears that the 12-day war between Iran and Israel has served as a lesson for Erdoğan. He has spoken of a system referred to as the “Iron Dome.”
Rai al-Youm added that the issue of delivering F-35 fighter jets to Turkey remains shrouded in uncertainty, and Washington’s hesitation over the delivery is controversial.
The outlet went on to report an increase in Turkey's defense budget, writing: The question is, considering warnings by some Turkish officials that after Iran, it will be Turkey’s turn—can this country enter into a direct war with Israel? And how likely is Ankara to prevail in a potential war given America’s guaranteed support for Israel?
In this context, the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak believes that Turkey is capable of winning any possible war with Israel, even with U.S. support for Tel Aviv—but only if the necessary conditions exist.
According to Rai al-Youm, Turkish analyst İsmail Kılıçarslan wrote in an article:
“Turkey is prepared for an inevitable and potential war with Israel, but the real challenge lies in the stance of the Islamic world and how firmly the domestic front is unified.”
The analyst asked:
“Why didn’t the Islamic world support Tehran when Iran launched missiles at Israel and made the Zionists taste fear?”
Rai al-Youm concluded:
Does Turkey enjoy a better position than Iran and receive support from the Islamic world—bearing in mind that it has not yet fired a single bullet at the occupying regime?
The Arab and Islamic world fears Turkey’s neo-Ottoman expansionist project, and their historical experiences explain this fear.
