SAEDNEWS: Iran’s Embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan dismissed as baseless the allegations that Iran’s envoy to Armenia has been tasked with supporting Karabakh separatists or providing arms to the Armenian government.
In a statement, the Baku embassy’s press office rejected the claims carried by the Azeri news website Axar, saying a written response had been sent to the outlet clarifying that the accusations in its commentary about the Iranian envoy to Yerevan are “completely unfounded and false.”
Reaffirming the Islamic Republic’s principled positions, the embassy underlined Iran’s support for a peaceful resolution of the Karabakh issue and for the restoration of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
It added that the assertions published by the website are merely the author’s “imagination and conjecture.”
