SAEDNEWS: An Israeli reservist has revealed that occupation forces in Gaza were ordered to shoot any Palestinian entering so-called “no-go zones,” regardless of whether they were armed, underscoring the regime’s indiscriminate violence against civilians.

Whistleblower Exposes Israeli Military Orders to Kill Unarmed Gazans

According to Saednews, An Israeli soldier speaking anonymously to Sky News disclosed that troops invading Gaza received direct instructions to kill anyone crossing invisible boundaries set by their commanders.

“We have a territory that we are in, and the commands are: everyone that comes inside needs to die,” the soldier said.

He emphasized that no distinction was made between combatants and civilians.

“If they’re inside, they’re dangerous you need to kill them. No matter who it is,” he stated.

The reservist described witnessing arbitrary killings of Palestinians in residential areas.

“In one of the houses that we had been in, we had the big territory. This was the closest to the citizens’ neighborhood, with people inside,” he said.

According to him, Palestinians had no way of knowing where these so-called forbidden areas began.

“There’s an imaginary line that they tell us all the Gazan people know it, and that they know they are not allowed to pass it. But how can they know?”

The soldier explained that any person entering these zones was likely to be gunned down.

“It was like pretty much everyone that comes into the territory, and it might be like a teenager riding his bicycle,” he said, referring to operations in the Netzarim Corridor, a militarized strip slicing Gaza in half.

He admitted that occupying forces frequently shot impoverished civilians who had no alternatives.

“We used to shoot poor people, civilians that don’t really have too many choices,” he said.

He further revealed that decisions about killing or detaining civilians were inconsistent and based on the whims of commanders.

“They might be shot, they might be captured,” he said.

“It really depends on the day, the mood of the commander.”

Recalling one incident, he described how a man was shot for crossing an imaginary line, while another who approached the body was merely captured.

Later, soldiers were again ordered to shoot anyone on sight who dared cross the same line.

Expressing remorse, the soldier stressed that the assault must end.

“I kind of feel like I took part in something bad, and I need to counter it with something good that I do, by speaking out, because I am very troubled about what I took and still am taking part of, as a soldier and citizen in this country,” he said.

Israel launched its brutal campaign of genocide against Gaza on October 7, 2023.

The aggression has so far killed at least 57,523 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s health ministry.
