SAEDNEWS: Trump's campaign has reported gunshots in the vicinity of the Republican presidential candidate but said he was safe.
According to SAEDNEWS, Former President Donald Trump's campaign has confirmed that he is safe after gunshots were reported near him during a recent golfing outing.
According to a statement from Trump's campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time.”
The FBI is looking into what seems to be a second attempt to assassinate Trump. Law enforcement officials say that agents from the U.S. Secret Service responded after spotting an individual with a gun near Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, as he played golf on Sunday.
The incident occurred on the golf course itself, where local authorities have detained a "person of interest" and recovered a weapon. Reports indicate that the weapon was an AK-47-style rifle.
At the time of the shooting, Trump was protected by his Secret Service detail, ensuring his safety amidst the chaos.
As the investigation continues, further information is expected to be released.
