SAEDNEWS: The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Azerbaijan Republic conferred on the developments in the Caucasus region in a phone conversation on Sunday.
According to SAEDNEWS, In a recent phone call, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, congratulated Seyed Abbas Araghchi on his appointment as the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Bayramov wished him success in his new role.
During the conversation, Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan's desire to strengthen friendly relations with Iran, emphasizing the importance of good neighborliness. He also conveyed hope that cooperation between Tehran and Baku would continue to expand.
In response, Araghchi thanked his Azerbaijani counterpart and highlighted that developing friendly relations based on mutual interests with Azerbaijan is a priority in Iran's foreign policy. He stressed the need to utilize their potential and capabilities more effectively.
The two ministers also discussed recent developments in the Caucasus region and addressed other international issues during their conversation.
