SAEDNEWS: Larijani, who has traveled to Iraq, is scheduled to visit Lebanon on the second leg of his three-day regional trip to meet with high-ranking officials.
“Iran is our supporter” hashtag is trending on social media in Lebanon as Ali Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, is set to visit Beirut to hold talks with top officials there.
Arab media outlets on Tuesday described the pro-Iran hashtag as an innovative and meaningful move by Lebanese social media users, especially journalists, at a time when there is mounting pressure from the United States and the Israeli regime on the Hezbollah resistance movement.
The pro-Iran hashtag appeared quickly in response to some Western and Israeli media claims that Hezbollah is dependent on the Islamic Republic and that Tehran attempts to impose “guardianship” over Lebanon.
Social media posts indicated the firm and popular support for strategic relations between Iran and Lebanon and the rejection of hostile claims against the axis of resistance, reports said.
Larijani, who began a regional tour by his trip to Iraq on Monday, is scheduled to visit Lebanon on the second leg of his three-day regional trip to meet with high-ranking officials.
The visit comes at a time when the region is struggling with complex developments and Iran's role in supporting regional stability and security has become more prominent amid the US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza and attacks on Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
